Revolut announces Bitcoin withdrawals with a limit

Revolut, Europe’s premier financial app, has enabled BTC withdrawals on its platform. The company had added Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum trading for premium users back in 2017, but it was a premium-only feature and withdrawal was only possible in fiat currency.

Revolut is a London-based firm offering bank accounts, debit cards, currency exchange, commission-free stock trading, crypto exchange, and foreign exchange services.

Now, the financial tech firm has announced the beta launch of bitcoin withdrawals with exclusive access first to its U.K-based top-tier Metal customers. Revolut is planning the roll-out of withdrawals worldwide since it has users in the United States, Europe, Canada, Singapore, Japan, and Australia.

Revolut users will be able to add three external addresses and withdraw between 500-1000 pounds a month. The platform will also offer two-factor authentication to ease security concerns.

Founder and CEO at Revoult, Nik Storonsky noted,

“Crypto withdrawals have been a heavily requested feature within Revolut’s crypto community and we’re delighted that we can begin the gradual process of rolling it out. Customers can lock down wherever they feel safest — whether it’s Revolut, into hot or cold storage, or to another exchange.”

He also added, “This is just the start of a long list of new crypto features we plan to launch so we can offer customers one of the best crypto products on the market.”
