Bitcoin Blast: Scam or Real Opportunity to Earn?

We’ve recently covered an article on how one can earn cryptocurrencies for free without mining, but with the constantly evolving world of crypto, there are always new ways. One such way to earn Bitcoin is Bitcoin Blast game, which is available on Google’s Play Store and iOS App Store. Wondering what it’s about, and whether or not you can actually earn Bitcoin? Read on to find out.

What is Bitcoin Blast?

It got popular via Tetris, and today a number of games offer a similar experience, including the fan-favorite Candy Crush. We’re talking about the match-three gameplay, where the user has to match three tiles in a line, chain, or some other pattern to make them disappear.

The match-three format is quite a popular form of puzzles because it’s easy, and entertaining at the same time. One can get engrossed in them for hours.

And the similar kind of experience is offered by Bitcoin Blast, where you have the match the tiles to successfully complete a level. There are multiple levels with increasing levels of difficulty.

Is Bitcoin Blast Legit?

Well, as much as it seems to be a scam, Bitcoin Blast is completely legal. The app has over a million downloads with an average rating of 4.5 stars on the Play Store. On the App Store, it has 4.3 stars. It was launched back in May 2019, and if it was a scam, it’d have been delisted from these stores by now. As a matter of fact, the game was suspended by Google in Jan 2020, but was reinstated soon after.

Not just that, its developer Bling has a lot of other apps on the Play Store as well such as Bitcoin Pop and Sweet Bitcoin. The developer is backed by some of the popular names in the industry, including Blocktower and Wave Financial.

That’s not it, the app also lets you cash out to Coinbase, which means that you should’ve an account.

How much money can you earn?

Now here’s where the things get tricky. While the game is legit, there are a lot of restrictions. You can’t play more than a certain amount of levels on any day, you can’t cash out again and again (there’s a cool-off period) and so on. In fact, the Play Store listing of the game itself states that:

“It takes a long time to earn enough Bling Points to cash out for a meaningful amount of Bitcoin. Most users earn an amount that is only worth a fraction of one cent (USD).”

There are many ads on the app as well, so while it’s letting you cash out Bitcoin, the app developers themselves are also earning a lot of money, hence offering this capability.

It’s evident that the app may not be a scam, but it’s also not worth playing if you’re hoping to earn a lot of Bitcoin.
