Brazilian Investment Bank Launches Crypto Platform

BTG Pactual is a Brazilian financial company that operates in the markets of Investment banking, Wealth Management, Asset management, etc. has launched its own crypto platform. The name of that wallet is Mynt. On Monday, September 20th, BTG Pactual, Latin America’s largest investment bank, revealed a new feature, allowing it the first major financial institution in Brazil to participate directly in the crypto market.

BTG Pactual’s crypto arm, Mynt, will be accessible in the fourth quarter of 2021 and will provide exposure to bitcoin and ether, according to the business, who said that the service would be available to subscribers of BTG Pactual digital and BTG+, its digital bank.

Customers of BTG Pactual digital and BTG+ will progressively have access to the crypto market via the new platform. In addition, the bank intends to integrate other digital currency services in the future.

“BTG understood that there is a great opportunity, and a gap in the world of crypto”, says André Portilho, head for the digital assets area at BTG, highlighting that the bank is the first in the country to provide access to these assets.

In the beginning, Bitcoin and Ethereum are used for exchange. The Crypto wallet will support other digital currencies over time.
