The entertainment industry is making inroads into the NFT space

Oscar-nominated documentary, “Claude Lanzmann: Spectres of Soah” were sold at an auction as an NFT at a translated price of $375,000. The film comprises the life and work of the director who was a contender in the 2016 documentary short Oscar race and aired on HBO.

The world’s first movie to be sold as an NFT is the independent film Lotawana. The team behind the film sold the rights and world premiere of Lotawana on Blockchain marketplace OpenSea. 1,000 shares were made for the film with the rights priced at $1,000 and world premiere shares at $100.
