Samsung unveils new TVs with NFT trading capability

Doubling down on the explosive popularity of NFT, Samsung has unveiled three new TV models for 2022 with a unique NFT trading capability. The company’s Micro LED, Neo QLED, and Lifestyle TVs will feature this new feature.

Samsung unveiled these new devices ahead of Consumer Electronics Show 2022 scheduled for 5th January. The company is touting advancements in picture and sound quality, multiple screen size options, and an upgraded interface.

Not only that but Samsung is also pushing its vision of ‘Screens Everywhere, Screens for All’. However, we’ll have a closer look at the NFT trading capability.

Samsung states that customers can purchase and trade digital artworks via the TV’s interface. Its platform will feature an “intuitive platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.”

Besides the NFT trading capability, these TVs will also feature:

  • Gaming Hub
  • Watch Together
  • Smart Calibration

Also, Samsung unveiled its new soundbar lineup that gets technology upgrades for a more immersive audio experience.

Expectedly, NFTs are poised for a broader scope of attention around the world with many major brands incorporating the technology. Recently, automobile manufacturer Ferrari entered the world of NFTs with a multi-year contract with Velas Network.

Besides Ferrari, Multinational Shoe companies such as Adidas and Nike have also entered the NFT segment with their own unique approaches. And if that’s not enough, hugely-popular rock band Linkin Park has also launched their NFTs cementing the potential of the technology.

This isn’t the end though as various groups across industries are pushing for incorporating this new technology. This will not only favour NFTs with a wider audience but to the companies entering as well.
