Anand Mahindra slams fake news denies cryptocurrency investments

Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, today slammed a fake news article that claimed that he made a lot of money on a cryptocurrency exchange.

He tweeted that the said news was fabricated and that he wasn’t in the cryptocurrency business. He further added that he did not invest any money in cryptocurrency.

The billionaire also shared screenshots on Twitter on November 19. The article was published on a website called blastheincome.com claiming that Mahindra made a fortune in investing in cryptocurrencies.

Mahindra also had recently received the Padma Bhushan award; also added in his tweet that the article takes “fake news to a new level”.

A couple of months back, Mahindra also shared a post that claimed that he advocated a special stock market trading course in middle school. But it being fake, Mahindra also quashed this.

He further said that he believes in the power of social media for distributing knowledge and information but the flip side of the internet is also the “wrongly attributed quotes”.
