Ferrari enters the world of NFTs

This is no secret that major brands across industries are entering the hugely popular world of NFTs. Recently, sportscar manufacturer Ferrari has signed a multi-year contract with Velas Network to introduce NFTs.

It’s the second major deal the automobile manufacturer has signed recently. Previously, Ferrari rekindled their relationship with Spanish Financial Services Group Barco Santander.

Barco Santander will once again feature on the Ferrari F1 cars, the drivers’ race suits as well as their caps. Before this, the group sponsored Ferrari between 2010 and 2017. Their aim for the partnership is to provide a suite of solutions to Ferrari in order to become carbon neutral by 2030. As a matter of fact, Barco Santander is carbon neutral since 2020.

Chairman of Ferrari, John Elkann said:

“It’s an honor to team up again with a global financial institution like Santander, which is committed to responsible banking and has shown leadership in renewable energy finance all around the world.”

He added:

“We look forward to partnering with them to deliver our key objective of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

On the other hand, Velas Network is a company based in Switzerland, specializing in blockchain and the NFT sector. The company creates as well as incorporates digital products.

With this multi-year agreement, fans of Scuderia Ferrari can expect exclusive digital content. Moreover, Velas will also become the Title Sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series and Ferrari Formula 1 Esports team next year.

Talking about this, Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto said:

“We are pleased to start this collaboration with Velas Network AG, a company that makes innovation and performance the hallmark of technologically advanced products and services.”
