Forever Bambù is known for innovating the optimal management of bamboo groves is looking at NFTs to contribute to environmental sustainability. They will do so using biomass and the production of bioplastics.
Emanuele Rissone, president and founder of Forever Bambù stated:
“The absorption of CO2 on a given lot is an apparently intangible phenomenon. For this reason, we have decided to study this new field of application, transforming the commitment to the environment into something tangible, certain and precious”.
Following that, the president of Forever Bambù said that NFTs are an ideal tool to promote this, stating:
“NFTs have proved to be the ideal tool to do this and we are really proud of what we have created, certain that the market today will have one more reason to continue investing in green practices “.
The company used this technology to depict real-world assets such as a bamboo grove, making it the first to do so. Besides this, it also become one of the few companies that provide superior security and transparency in the voluntary carbon market.
Basically, the company has created an NFT for each plot of the land. Each NFT contains information such as geographical coordinates and the size of hectares. It also contains additional information like how much CO2 does each individual plot absorbs.
Due to the inherent characteristics of a blockchain, NFTs can enable holders of each green certificate to prove their right to the land.
