The press release of Meta says, “Just like regular ads, 3D ads appear in users’ Facebook and Instagram feeds displaying interactive 3D models that users can tap and interact with – moving the product around to view all angles.”

Co-founder and CEO of Vntana, Ashley Crowder stalked about the monetization strategies which will include metaverse-like elements:

3D and AR technology in online ads is the next frontier for brands looking to connect with the digital consumer. Moreover, it is a great first step into the metaverse.

Furthermore, she said that the release will bring democratization to the ad space on these platforms. According to her, it’ll also benefit the customers since they can view a more detailed model of products in 3D.

Also, Director of Augmented Reality Business Development & Partnerships, Chris Barbour said:

3D and AR open a new door of advertising possibilities for retail and e-commerce brands, improving the customer experience from the point of acquisition.
